#letstalkRESPs Twitter Party

Here at The Juneau Home, it is important to think about and save for the future; even though Colden has only just turned 4, it is really important that when he is ready for post-secondary that he doesn't have to struggle or take out loans when he is starting to build for his future. It is predicted that in 2034 (My 4 year-old will be 22!) tuition for a 4-year University degree will cost $87,000.00! Starting to save earlier rather than later is in the best interest for our family, our future, (and my sanity)!
But it's easy to feel overwhelmed when presented with financial terms such as RESP (Registered Education Savings Plan), CESG (Canada Education Savings Grant), tax-deferred growth, Canada Learning Bond, etc......
The list could go on, and on
Thankfully there are experts for that!

If you are like me and are not exactly financially literate or just do not know where to start, Parent Life Network and Canada Scholarship Trust have the experts on hand to answer any of the questions I or YOU may have! On Thursday, May 5, PLN and CST will be hosting a twitter party to answer your RESP questions and MORE!

If you are interested in learning more before the Twitter Party check out this link here: here

#CSTLearningProject Twitter Party

I've been thinking about the future a lot this week......I just registered Colden for pre-school earlier yesterday and on Saturday my not-so-little-boy will be FOUR!
Where did the time go?
Already, my threenager (soon to be fournager) is a frequent data-user via our cell phones and laptop and he can work the tv remote better than I can (sadly, true). We are no strangers to toddler and preschool apps and they may or may not outnumber the amount of grown-up apps I have on my phone. I'm not saying yes. But I am not saying no.
What is the tech-world going to look like when my boy actually hits the teen-years?

Our future is evolving and technology is only advancing, therefore, it is up to us to give our children the tools they need to have a successful future. CST understands this and so they've just launched their annual CST Learning Project competition which funds new learning activities for children with $250,000 up for grabs. It's part of their cool Inspired Minds program that also includes Careers2030--a deep dive into the possible careers our kids will have. Perhaps our littles will grow-up to be an Organic Voltaics Engineer or a Robot Counsellor or even a Tele-surgeon?! The opportunities are limitless so let's give our children the best possible future - RSVP below today!!
