Instagram // February 2021

Happy March! I was thinking it could be fun to do a monthly Instagram recap series here on the blog? What do you lovelies think? At the beginning of the month I will upload my most popular/my favorite Instagram photos from the month before. I have seen this series done on other blogs & I love seeing and reading a recap of the previous month Instagram-style!

I think this will also be a great way to document my growth, as well as hold myself accountable and make sure I am posting to Instagram consistently. Currently my Instagram has 1750 followers, for April I would love to be able to grow that to just around 1800!   

Here’s February's Recap:

1. It had been awhile since I have gotten fully ready (thanks covid), so of course a good hair day + a complete outfit had to be documented selfie-style!

2. Colden re-reading his fave Dog Man book. We had a stretch of insanely cold weather which was perfect for snuggling up with a good book and TONS of blankets. 

3. Valentine's Day! We all had so much fun taking these love-themed box photos. Check out all the pics here.

4. The boys completed their first month as Littlest Prince Couture ambassadors! More on that in a later blog post ;)

7. One of my most fave pics of Haesten! So much joy + happiness in one photo!

8. This was a throwback to my birthday cake; it is a Tres Leches cake - a sponge cake soaked in 3 kinds of milk. I was scrolling through my phone and instantly wanted a piece as soon as this pic popped up on my phone!

That’s a little bit of our month! What have you been up too? I can hardly believe that we are already 3 months into 2021...and Easter is just a few short weeks away!

A fellow Alberta-girl, Ana has a houseful of gents! She has the CUTEST troupe of boys and I just love seeing pics of her and her handsome little men! Not only do her boys have r o c k s t a r names, they also have more style than I do in my little finger...serious #goals I just love seeing new pics of her boys all dressed up either completely matching or killin’ it with coordinates! I can only imagine the joy, chaos and love 5 boys brings!

Tara is a total sweetheart! She has the sweetest, most-down to earth personality! Her insta stories are always so helpful and I have found she gives THE B E S T advice! Her family is adorable + she has the prettiest fur-babies! I love how close-knit not only her kids seem with each other but also the tight bond Tara and her husband, Braun share with their children. She also heads up the loveliest boutique (Poppy and Dot). She is truly an inspiration and #goals mom-boss!

Cara is a total babe. She is one of the very first bloggers I ever followed. I find myself relating a lot to her, as she has 2 little boys, and her sweet little girl is the same age as my Haesten. I have been so envious of her hair since she cut it shorter and wish I was brave enough to just do the same! Her family pics are adorable and I love that she shows her family in her insta-stories. Every Halloween, I look forward to Cara’s Halloween pics -- she always does up the most amazing family costumes! Additionally, she often shares her workouts and is total #fitnessgoals.

Another fellow Albertan, I have followed and been an avid reader of The DIY Mommy blog for y e a r s. Christina is a stunning momma to 3 girls and has the BIGGEST heart-of-gold. Every time I have messaged her with either a comment or question, she has answered back. Plus, on her blog + youtube, Christina also shares tips and goes into detail what being a blogger/influencer actually entails for those interested in pursuing or starting a blog. She has the most amazing photography and her insta-feed is filled with beautiful decor and home design inspiration!

Amber has 3 small kiddos and recently built the most gorgeous home! She takes the dreamiest vacations and I really love that she often will jet over the globe with her littles in tow! I adore that her feed is filled with photos of her kids and exotic destinations. If you love pretty pictures and great fashion you will LOVE Ambers insta and blog! Amber has the happiest kids and she always takes the sweetest family pics! In addition to beautiful + detailed hair tutorials Amber also runs Barefoot Blonde Hair, a hair extension boutique!

At the beginning of the month I will upload my most popular/my favourite Instagram photos from the month before. I have seen this series done on other blogs & I love seeing and reading a recap of the previous month Instagram-style!

I think this will also be a great way to document my growth, as well as hold myself accountable and make sure I am posting to Instagram consistently. Currently my Instagram has 413 followers, for July I would love to be able to grow that to 470!   

Here’s June’s Recap:

1. At the beginning of June we enjoyed our local community fair and amusement days. The littles had so much fun going on the rides, eating fair food and enjoying the beautiful summer weather.

2. Mr. 5 lost his 1st tooth!! June 19, 2017 is definitely one for the books :)

3. A selfie of my boy and I.

4. Colden graduated preschool! I cannot believe how big (and how fast time flies!). We snapped this family photo in celebration of Colden’s grad ceremony!

5. Our community has this amazing lake that is right, central in town -- twice a week they have a little, mini train that takes people for rides halfway around the lake! This was our first ride of the season!

6. This is my grandmother’s lilac tree, the blossoms are just so picture perfect and gave the sweetest, most beautiful smell.

7. Father’s Day: this pic was actually taken last summer at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village but it is one of my most favourite pics of my two loves.

8. We had an impromptu photo session using our garage as a backdrop and the self-timer on my iphone! I love how the photos turned out, and they are some of my favourites to date!

That’s a little bit of our month! What have you been up too? I can hardly believe Christmas will be here in just six, short months!
