10 Summer Date Ideas

I am so excited for looooong summer days and sunshine! but those summer nights....wink, wink

Here are 10 Summer Date Ideas to reconnect as a couple. Romantic + sweet (and relatively inexpensive!) activities for your and your partner to take full advantage of the beautiful Summer weather!

• Book a stay at a Bed & Breakfast. Have a staycation or explore a new quaint city.

• Take a tour of a Lottery or Show Home. Pick up some home reno inspiration, plus it is always nice to daydream of owning a luxury house!

• Pack a Picnic lunch and enjoy the sunshine together. Bring a book and take turns reading a chapter. 

• Build Something. Work on a DIY project for your home/yard together. 

• Stargaze. Grab some blankets, head to a open area, snuggle up and see who can spot the first shooting star. 

• Take a trip to an Outdoor Farmers Market. Wander up and down all the vendors, grab some items to make supper together or for a picnic. 

• Attend a Drive-in Movie. don't forget the popcorn & a blanket!

• Thrift Store Date Challenge. Hit up your local goodwill store. Pick an entire outfit for your spouse. Purchase and wear the outfit out for supper! You could even set a budget (say $10/$15/$20, ect) or a theme and see who can pick the best or wackiest outfit.  

• Take a Scenic Drive. Grab some road trip snacks (Tim's coffee, anyone?!) and hit the road. Site see, explore and reconnect on a lengthy drive to nowhere :) 

• Host a get together. Thank your close friends and family that have supported your relationship. Host a long-table dinner or simply gather everyone for a  bonfire -- roast marshmallows, taste-test new drinks, and visit over a warm fire.
