My beautiful boys!!
Vanessa offers these beautiful Let Them Be Little sessions. She captures not only the tiny details to remember but the very essence of their personalities.
The portraits are timeless and I just adore how classic + simple the black-and-white is!
Before she met with C & H, Vanessa had me write up a little description of each of their respective personalities.
Reflecting on each boy was one of my most favourite parts of the session and I loved describing their unique temperaments and features.
But I wasn't prepared for the different sides I saw from each boy.
“The twinkling of an eye. That is the most wonderful expression. I've thought from time to time it was the best thing in life, that little incandescence you see in people when the charm of a thing strikes them, or the humor of it. 'The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart.' That's a fact.” — Marilynne Robinson
When I scrolled through facebook and saw the photo of Coldens eyes, there was something that looked familiar but I hardly recognized my not-so-little boy and I actually had to message Vanessa to confirm that it was MY Colden I was looking at a photo of!! When I received the online gallery, I was struck by how grown up and mature they both looked from how I see them ordinarily. These personality sessions seriously have my heart and I cannot thank Vanessa enough for capturing my boys as they were in that moment!
Oh my heart 😍😍😍 he looks so grown-up 😭
isn’t he so handsome 😱😍
Colden has the most beautiful, giving heart and is always looking for ways to be the 'helper'. He loves to play superheroes and watch YouTube and of course roughhouse with his daddy. Colden is a very determined yet exuberant guy. He is my true wild heart — he loves big and fierce! His imagination and creativity never fail to amaze me. Colden has a roaring + vibrant personality— he has a noble heart and is self-assured & energetic. He is my Dragon-child 🐉 He loves to play football + LEGO and can put together a puzzle faster than anyone I know! Steadfast with a remarkable work-ethic, he is my constant achiever. He thinks snapchat filters, knock knock jokes and all things 💩 are hilarious.
“Speak to your children as if they are the wisest, kindest, most beautiful and magical humans on earth, for what they believe is what they will become. – Brooke Hampton
My handsome {almost 7 year-old!) son 💙💙
That little button nose and his little lips 😍😍😍
Haesten is my exuberant, life-loving babe. He is just full of simple joy --his smiles take up his ENTIRE face! His little smile can reach all the way to his toes and is literally a whole-body movement with his head thrown back and his back arching! So much j o y and happiness!
Haesten loves to snuggle and being close, he adores to show affection and has THE best hugs and kisses. His little personality is starting to shine and he already fiercely knows what he wants; often overjoyed + excited he is my Puppy-baby 🐶 A little pensive; you can see him analyze every situation. He was born with an innate sense of personal attainment; upon the realization of his achievement, he is just so proud + pleased with himself and what he accomplished.
My baby 😭😭😭Seriously how cute is he?!
As thick as thieves 🖤🖤🖤🖤
I have a feeling these two sweet boys will certainly keep me on my feet in the years to come. I can’t help but be wary of all the mischief and shenanigans I know is inevitably coming 😂🙈
Already, Haesten has the biggest grins for Colden; and Colden knows just what to say to make his little brothers face light up 💙 I can only imagine the couch forts, pranks, fart jokes and antics these two will dream up!
My heart just can't even handle this 😍😍
This, right here, is all I ever wanted ❤️❤️ Loving your babies is one thing but seeing them love on each other is a whole new dimension of heart bursting love! And while I know the day is {soon!} coming where their preferred play will be wrestling, roughhousing, and horsing around...seriously, I can only imagine the amount of referring I will do 🙈 I pray that they will always build each other up and bring out the best in each other.
These boys steal my heart on the daily, and I'm so beyond thankful that they get to grow up together!
