Friday September 11 - Sunday September 13
Friday Night: Colden had his cousin over for a sleepover! While Colden has been to Maria's home for a sleepover plenty of times, this was her first time sleeping over a n y w h e r e! So exciting!
For supper we picked up pizza at the newly opened Papa John's, and headed to our local park for a picnic. There was one other family at a picnic table near us and they had the two sweetest little dogs that kept the kids very entertained throughout supper. When we were all cleaned up, we drove to a nearby playground and spent some time enjoying the beautiful evening
We then came home, had a quick bath with T O N S of toys (of course!), got our jammies on, popped some popcorn and attempted to watch Smurfs. We maybe made it 20 minutes into the show before both littles were ready for bed. I quickly read a little story and gave kisses then tucked both babes into bed. There was some fussing to get to sleep but once they were out, they both slept until morning time!
*Just a little note - The blanets they are snuggling with were handmade by my aunt when they were just born! Colden's has woodland creatures and Maria's monkeys
Saturday Morning: As the kids played, Pier and I got everyone ready for a beach day! We had absolutely incredible weather and wanted to take advantage of it. After some quick errands around town we headed to our go-to place Pelican Point. We LOVE this beach. It consistently has beautiful sand and water. There are a few picnic tables beachside and if you come early enough you can usually grab one. I also love that there is a playground on the beach and we do not have to walk very far or put shoes on to get to it. There were maybe a handful of other families there throughout the day so we had pretty much the whole beach to ourselves. The kids just played and played. We would go from playing in the sand, to the playground, then into the water, then back sand. It was a fantastic day!
On the drive home both babes fell asleep, and continued to sleep all the way back to town. We spent the remainder of our day outside in our yard, just enjoying the last little bit of summer!
Sunday: Was spent hanging out at home, and tidying things up and getting ready for the week ahead. The weather was gray and it was a perfect day to stay inside. It was really nice to just have a down day.
What is the weather like where you're at? Is winter quickly on it's way or are you still enjoying some beautiful summer weather?

Note those grins!
Look at that view! Beautiful water and sand as far as the eye can see!
